I’ve made a school boy error I’ve got a clicking starter motor on a fiat idea 1.3 diesel so under the car I go the earth wire was corroded so I cleaned it up so I thought I would clean the live side up I was thinking the connections just had a cover on so I didn’t take much notice of the wiring then I notices the cover is more than a cover so any idea how the 3 wires are connected? Also how do I get the starter motor off? I can see a bolt at the bottom I’m assuming there is one at the top is so how do I get to it?

is the +50 solenoid (start) wire the type with a large round ring terminal at the end, if so this clips inside the black 'cover' then the battery terminal (thick wire) goes on after.
