hi can some one help me im new toall this tryin to post sumin but how?

i have a problem with my fiat punto 1.2 2003 mia

it been fine i had a cdplayer fittied in halfords and it was fine for a week then onmonday my car wont start rang aa piad 85 quid to add home start and it was working fine he sed weather caused it to not start

then lastnite it wudnt start aguin aa came out did a test it was fine put new bat on there was a 3 amp drain on there
so he put ol d bat on n wrote a report he sed the cdplayer mite be the problem

i had my cdplayer fitted in by hjalfords a week ago and it japenese from ebay and i aint been switching the fornt cover off and when u put it in it come son wud it bepossiable if i just take the cover off for it to be still on?

my batt been fine and now it not since cdplayer i heard man in halfords say he has to connect ti to battery

anny ideas?
going halfords tomo i need help

i dont get what causing the drain to cair everything else was fine allternatoer was
3 amp drain is it cdplayer please help

lol i have a problem lol that the ppl in halfords connected it to the battery i think and aa have done a battery test and there was a 3 amp drain would this be cause cdplayer?

was fine before i had it

and if i aint turned the fornt piece of before removing it will the cdplayer attached to car stay on casuing it to drain car due to be still being on?

i dunt know n tomo will hope it is outher wise it off to gargelol

im only 18 and it my second car since november and passed in november lol i ainthaving much luck to be honest

i need help?

write i have had my mia punto for 3 months it been fine it 2003

i had a cdplayer installed by halfords a week ago and then monday my car wudnt start i tried to restart loas times so rang aa n cost 85 quid to add homestart

and aa came it was fine he sed weather then it was fine all week

then lastnite it wudnt work n aa came aguin did a bat test it failed there was nothing wrong with allernator n no drain
he put a new bat on then then he had a 3 amp drain he then changed the battery to the old one and it was still same he sed somethingis drainning he tried fuse box n it was stil happeining??
he reckonsit the cdplayer i heard man in halfords say he wait for sumone to cneect it to the battery?

so i went halfords today im going tomobut it must be cdplayer cos it been fine since?

when i take the front cover off i havent been switching it off so whenu put it bk init comeson would this mean if i aint turned it off before removing it would the cdlayer attatch to car stay on cause the drain?

i need help im confused not happyx

if your taking off the front this usually turns off the unit too. all headunits have a VERY small drain but never 3amps! im thinking halfords messed the wiring and somethings shorting, or its a dodgy HU. if i was you either take it back to halfords and get them to sort it, or if they refuse take it an auto electricians to sort and send the bill to halfords head office!
 
it wont be the red and yellow wires but its jst made me think of another problem other to my post in other thread. some MK2 puntos only have a single live feed from the battery, no ignition feed (dont know why!) this means the red and yellow have to be joined together off this single feed, if they done this wrong it will be playing up! antonia, if the radio is on and you turn off the ignition, does the radio go off?

NO IF I TURNOFF IGNITIONIT STILL STAY ON TIL TURN IT OFF THE CDPLAYER IS FROM EBAY IT JAPENESE APPRENTLY BUT I DUNT KNOW WHY MY VAR HAD A 3 AMP DRAIN N FLAT BATT IT WAS FINE BEFORE I HAD CDPLAYER INSTALLED COS WHEN I BOUGHT CAR IT HAD ORINGAL RADIO N IT WORKED WHEN CAR WAS OFF N ON N IT DIDNT DRAIN MY CAR ANY SUDJESTTIONS?

yer, you only have a single live feed compared to the normal 2 feeds, so halfords would have split this live to give the stereo the 2 it needs. if the stereo wasnt bought from them, halfords wont want to know 2BH. your best bet is get the stereo tested my an auto electrician, i think thats your problam is the unit itself.

HEY LOL SOO IS IT HALFORDS FAULT? COS HESED IT CONTERFIT OR SUMINAND THERE WERE EXTRA PLUGS ON IT IS THAT WHAT IS CAUSE THEDRAINON CAR? COS IT WAS FINE BEFORE WHAT IS THE HEAD UNIT THE OUTHER BIT OF CDPLAYER LOL I DONT KNOW ANYTHING BOUT CARS U SEE LOL

I HAD IT OFF BF FOR A XMAS PRESSIE IT WORKEDALLRITE IN MY CLIO WHEN HE FITTED IT BUT I HAD NO RADIO

ON MY NEW CAR WHEN HALFORDS FITTED IT HE WAS BITSHIFFTY LOL ABOUT THE STREO BUT TOMO THEY GUNA CHECK IT OUT I WANT IT TAKEN OUT N THENTHEM TO CHECK TO SEE IF THE 3 AMP DRAINHAS GONE COS IF IT DONT THEN IT NOT THE CDPLAYER IS IT?
IM FED UP JUST WANTED MUSIC LOL BUT IT NEVER SIMPLE WHEN EBAY INVOLED PAYED 40 QUID TO GET IT INSTALLED THEN 85 QUID TO AA AND NO MY BAT FLAT SO GUNA GET NEEW BAT SO ILL LET U ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENES TOMO LOL WELL I JUST WANT MY CAR BK TO WORKING ORDER

it took 6 times to pass my test and it bn mad i had 2 cars lol since novmber and i skiding in snow outher day stuk in traffic for6 hours then find out woman gav birth on a bus and lol i cudnt stop doin 10 miles hours at red lights lol charming loxl
