There is one digit missing from your serial number. It should be BP followed by 12 digits, not 11. Please check and repost the full number.

The waiting time to clear the "WAIT" message can be anything up to 24 hours depending on how many times incorrect codes have been tried. You don't need the engine running, just the radio and ignition switched on.
