Hi i have a 2001 Marea Weekend 1.9 JTD 110ELX and I wonder if somebody can tell if or how I can have an aftermarket stereo and still be able to operate it with steering wheel controls.

Thanks Bill

Did you find a solution to this ?

I'm in the same situation and I haven't seen anything useful in any after market tech specs or user manuals ....

I'll post to this thread if I do see anything useful though.

im quite lost ere guys...so there is no way for us to maintain the function of the buttons on the steering wheel once we change the hu.im planning to chance the hu to clarion DXZ955MC(the one with touch panel control).regret big time buying the sony xplod cd changer unit just to maintain the original hu since the sq not up to expectation.anyone ere managed to change their hu and still get to use the control buttons on the steering wheel?i read somewhere before someone managed to do that.i need to know how since other cars can do it.hope to get some advice from u guys....cheers:confused:

if you've got a HU that has steering wheel control compatability, then you are able to buy a wiring adapter. go to your local shop like motorworld and if they dig out theyre autoleads catalogue they should be able to have a look for you.

thanks for the inputs bro....checked with the dealer.told me that its not compatible with our steering wheel control but if i can find someone skillful enough to rewire the whole thing than it can be done since not many people out there dare to mess around with fiat wiring...
