problem with new head unit for brava

Hi there. Bought a sony CDX-MP80 stereo, andworks great, but only tihng is with the facia plate in, I cant open the CD, and with it off the drawer cant get passed the controls. So what I am planning is to cut some of the plastic off so that the face plate will come come down low enough for the CD drawer to come out. Just wondered if anyone else has done this, and have any pics they can post or email to me so I know the best way to go about it.

With a replacement facia adapter it is recessed, right? I think you'd be silly to start cutting your dash etc... Why not get a HU with a front loading CD slot, as opposed to a hidden one? Or get a CD changer? You'll regret cutting the dash up, you'll look at it in a months time and wonder why you didnt spend a few more quid to do it properly. I've been there myself!

Guess yout right.. I just looked up ebay.. can get a cd changer for around £100.. so I guess it would be easier, and less hassle than cuttin into the dash.. cheers.. for some strange reason hadnt even thought of that.. haha.. duh!! Just aswell i asked then eh.
