I have a fiat punto N reg 1995 55s, cds wont work in any cdplayer i put in my car, the radio works fine, but cds still wont work, even when i change the mp3player! Is there a certain type of player my fiat needs or something, please desperate 4 help!:bang:

Have you tried different CD's, and originals not copys? It's unlikely that any wiring, or car issues would cause just the CD player not to play CD's. What player have you got? Maybe we can help you more if we know this :)

I've noticed a problem when CDs are burned on a PC with Windows Media Player 10, especially with wma or mp3 files. I believe this affects Pioneer and Panasonic Head Units, probably others are affected as well.

i've tried a jvc headunit and a kenwood and a boss mp3 player. also i used original cds to test the player and still wont work

Hmmm, this is a bit of a strange one. The only other thing I can think of is at what angle the CD player is mounted, is it on a slope or is it vertical? Also what happens when you put the CD in, does it just eject itself or does it try to play it for a while first?

It is on a slope, and everytime i put a cd in,it tries to play for a little while, then an error message appears, i've tried all sort of things to get it working but still no luck:chin:

make sure ur burning the songs properly.. as audio files.. makes sure the files are .mp3 and not wma just to see if it works.

its not that either because i play original cds in my player, does anyone :yuck: out there know wether i should buy a specific type of mp3 player or something?

Ah ha! The slope, how much of a slope is it? Most CD Players will only work up to 20degrees either way off horizontall, even though some state more you might hit problems on bumps and such. Find out what angle your CD player can be mounted at, and tell us how much of a slope it is, as this could well be your problem.

As a test, take the player out of the housing, hold the CD player horizontal in your hands (be careful not to get near any wires though) and see if it'll play the CD's then, if so you will need to try and get one with a larger installation angle.

Let us know how you get on :)
