Hi All,

Wondering if anyone can provide some help. I've got a punto sporting (2001), and wanted to change the standard head unit (which is just the cassete deck). I know i need to get the fascia adapter, but wanted to know if anyones got the above unit or something similar, and whether they've had any problems fitting it. Mine's is on order, but I read somewhere that similar units (including pioneers, alpines) with faces that come down to reveal the CD entry slot hit the fascia panel, so can't be fitted properly. I'm now wondering whether I'm gonna be left with a unit i can't fit!

Any help would be appreciated.

hi my dad got a 02 punto and i have fitted him my old sony flip down cd player and they have no problems with it hitting anything it opens fine think there is bout 5mm gap in it. so you shouldnt have any problems with it.:D

Oh and yeah welcome to the forum

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome note. Been following this forum since i bought the motor, and it's helped me loads already! Cheers for the reassurance on the head-unit too, a little weight of my mind.

Happy New year bud.

i got a blaupunkt that flips down and works fine. i can see what the posible wories can be though. not sure exactly about your stereo but it looks like a flip down one wich should be fine. i think the possible problems probably relate to ones that have have motorized fronts as they come down in a different way. but i still think you should have enough room.
