Hi ,Im just about to purchase my first fiat. Im buying a Seicento sporting. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the avalible boot space in an Seicento as i will be making a sub inclosure. I need the maximum height from the base of the boot where the shopping would sit to the top just underneath of the parcel shelf and the maximum width from one side to the other inside the boot.

Many thanks

Thanks for the measurements. I am palnning on building an inclosure taylor made to fit snuggly. My plan is to intergrate my 15 inch sub, 15 inch flat panel tv, sega dreamcast, dvd player and my sony freeview box in there somewhere ? I already have used that setup in a previous car, but nothing as small as a seicento. I will keep you posted of the developments in the coming weeks...months.haha. The measurments will give me an idea how much mdf im gonna need for such a project.

Cheers

Sorry forgot to ask. Do you know the measurment between the rear of the back seat to the rear boot bulkhead ? Thanks again.

Off the top of my head, you are looking at about 16ish inches :)

Thank you for that measurment. That is very helpful in my quest.

Not a problem :)

I've got an amp rack that's causing a major design headache atm...............:bang:

You'll have to run the 15 in a sealed enclosure, but even thatcould need up to 2-2.5cuft, that's going to take up a fair bit of room. Have you thought about making part of it out of fibreglass?

What are trying to do?

Putting 2 amps, and my enclosure in as simple a design as possible. Need to be able to get the spare and still have as much room as possible  The shape of one of the amps makes it kinda unsuitable for sinking into a false floor :( But I have somewhere else I could put it, though :chin:

Think I may have cracked it though :) I need to do some measuring :)

How about "floating" them? Get some shelf brackets on the back seat and voila!

Paul, how close do you reckon I could put my amps facing together before risking overheating (cooling convectionally and not forced with fans)?

Hmm, do mean like stood on their sides, with the top facing each other?

Usually you need to leave 2-3 inches clearance, so (looking at my ruler!) I'd say 6 inches would be fine.

Unless of course they're hugely powerful and kick out some serious heat.

:chin: That's what I was thinking. One will be puting out 300W RMS, the other 170 ish WRMS. Shouldn't produce too much heat. Or I could use the PC fans I got kicking around............................I;d just need to get a relay.....................

I think that'll be fine, the fans would be a nice touch to the install, even if not really needed.

What if I had an enclosed 'cabinet', but the sides vented, IYKWIM?

I'm thread hijacking aren't I? Sorry

If the top was enclosed you'd certainly need the fans, but I don't think it would harm.

I will let you know how it shapes up.
