I have enterd the code in 3 times wrong on the head unit now it display says:
SAFE
wait 1h

I read in the handbook you have to either wait and hour for it to reset itself or reset ur battery! Does anyone know if the engine had to be ticking over. Or if i turn the key once (to par) and switch of all the lights and left the car on will the battery go flat? Or im thinking of disconnecting the battery but do now want to electricute myself! do i have to have a special machine to take away the current or can i just take the key out of the ignition and use a spanner to losen the terminal bolts?

you can just un bolt battery lead, you wont electricute your self its only 12 volts, or just un plug the wires on the back of the hu

i think i have to unbolt the terminal i have not got the head unit key. .thanks dave u saved me a lot of worrying..

You have to wait the hour, then reinput the correct code.

If you disconnect the battery, it will probably restart the 1 hour from reconnection, so it'll just waste more time.

Make sure you have the correct code. Each time you get it wrong, the time to wait increases, 1hr, 2hrs, 4hrs, 8hrs, etc. Supposed to make it thief resistant.
