Blue and me USB port

So I always connect my iPhone to the blue and me UBS port to listen to Spotify and I thought my problem was with the cheap leads I've been buying but I've gone out and payed well over the odds for a good one and it was fine until I disconnected my phone to run in the shop and come back in but no joy.

Theres power going to the lead (it has a little light on it) but it's like it's not detecting my phone at all.

This is why I kept buying new leads. They work for a few weeks at most and then nothing.

I've contacted my local fiat servicing centre and they wand 90 GBP just to diagnose it.

Anyone have any ideas please? I really don't want to pay that much for a diagnostic check and then the cost of parts and labour on top
