hi, i have just wired an aftermarket JVC stereo in my brothers GP. i spent about an hour trying to figure out how to get it working and now i have managed to get it working but only on ignition feed. it resets on key removal.
The stereo came with the typical red and yellow wires so the first thing i did was wire the red into the cigaret lighter red as ive done with all my other cars. it worked on ignition but not without the key. i did a bit of googling and someone said to flip the yelow and the red on the stereo, so i did to which there was no power at all. is there any documented way of doing it or at least what wires i need and where i can tap into them?

i had the same problem with my kia picanto - the jvc was not aftermarket but the problem was absolutely the same. I replaced it.
