I've got a new Fiat Punto (facelift model) but my rockford fosgate head unit doesn't work when I plug it in. Sum1 told me 2 swop the yellow and the red, although only one of them corresponds to something on the other side of the loom. Doing this onlylit the head unit as if it was on standby but it wouldn't turn on. HELP PLZ

Try putting a direct feed to the headunit. if this works, try finding the igniton feed then a permanant feed to keep the headunit's settings :)

hi there seems liek you have come across the wonderfull world of fiat wiring lol,

seriously sounds liek you just ned to alter the wiring around at that back. i recently changed the head unit in my mk2 punto and had to do some changing to get my new stereo working. hopefullyyou will have the instructions to your head unit witch should give you the pin positions.

if you look at the loom before changing anything ther eis a big thick black wire that is the earth. abpve that is a red/ black or red/white that is a permanent 12v feed. beside the black wire is teh illumination wire and beside that is another permant 12v feed. above that is the ignition (switchable12v)

this lil diagram may make it eaiser the following represent the pins

1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8

1 mute
2 ignition (switchable12v) grey green i think
3 antenna wire
4 permanent 12v red/black or red/white
5 mute ground
6 another permanent 12v red/black or red/white
7 illumination
8 earth ground thick black wire

from this you should be able to match the wire up correctly for your stereo. providing you got the manual for it with pin locations in back
