Although its more work to change them around I feel the panasonic does not give as good a sound as the kenwood. Plus the controls are annoying (in some menu's you use the +/- volume to change options - in others you use +/- frequency - using the wrong one in the wrong menu kicks you out of the menu)
Looks like its going to be a date set with the soldering iron.
I find Kenwoods have far too many buttons.. and too many buttons that do more than 1 thing.... so wen ur driving its so hard just to do summit simple....
Panasonic are nice simple units.. look good... not much to go wrong...
Personnally I'd scrap them both and go buy urself a lovely Alpine
hi, id go for kenwood and i have a silver faceplate like that kenwood one (i think it would fit), you can have it for the postage cost if you want, but it is untested cos i dont have the stereo to try it on.
I'll be happy with the current black frame, after all the rest of the car is black inside. Silver would look out of place.
Going for a total re-wire and fitting the Kenwood. Picked up a reel of high-end speaker cable from Block & Quail and some connectors from Halfrauds. Not sure if I should put some phono's through for a possible later amp install... or get the Halfrauds kenwood amp and sub offer now..
