Hi All,
I stumbled across this forum while looking for a Facia to replace the original CD/Radio in my Stilo. With a little help from this forum I have tracked down a facia ( the cheapest by far is from http://www.sceniccaraudio.co.uk/Manufacturer.asp?ManufacturerID=165 at a cost of £10 inc vat & del.. I checked by ringing them up.. :) )

I am trying to fit a Sony CDX-4270R which I took out of my previous car along with the joystick control the RM-X4S
The problem I have got is I need to know which of the wires on the Stilo power connector is permanent live and which is switched as at the moment I can only get the head unit to come life when I join the Red & yellow wires on the wiring loom of the head unit.. this is not switched but live all the time...
When it did come to life it sounded far better than what is in at the moment...:)
When looking at the power connector leading to head unit from the front Red is pin 7 which according to the instructions should be switched. Yellow is Pin 2 which according to instructions should be permanent live.
Pins numbered as below as viewed from front according to sony instructions
1 3 5 7
2 4 6 8
This is the standard connector as supplied with head unit. no alterations made.
Also I am trying to track down a new mounting plate for the joystick, does any one know where I can get one from..

Stilo 1.2 Activ 3 Door(Tiziano Red)

I couldn't get a switched live when I replaced my unit, so settled for the perm live and manually switching the HU on and off.

If you do discover the switched live, please let us know! :)
