Hi
I recently put a Blaupunky AUX cable in my headunit (non standard blaupunkt) for my iPod. There is a lot of feedback noise from the engine, that comes through as a wining noise. When you rev the engine it gets lounder, as is quite annoying when at speed and the revs are higher. Is there anyway of reducing this noise. I don't really know how it's created other than that it correlates with engine revs, so I thought of insulating the cable??
Has anyone else had this when putting in an AUX cable?
Cheers
Ben

ok, make sure you run the wire well away from power wires as that may be causing the interference.

Also, check the condition of the grounding wire and grounding point of the actual headunit - that may be not helping. This will be more noticeable when using the aux connector rather than CD or radio as the AUX input isnt levelled like the others, therfor interference can creep in from a bottleneck in the grounding point :)

it's to do with the power cable and the ipod itself, strange really. When it's plugged in it makes the noise, with no noise when it's not. So it must just be getting feedback from the ipod itself. Seeing as it's a 1st Gen one the battery only lasts 20 mins now, so i guess i'll have to put up with it or buy a new ipod/battery.
cheers for the replies though guys!
