hi all

im new to i.c.e but i love my tunes and have got 300 quid
i would like to buy a reasonable setup for that not bothad about subs just head unit and qualiyty speakers anyone got any reccomendations

i listen to tance music also sum hip hop

Hmmm......components in the front (or coaxials if you can't afford them), a decent HU, and if the budget will run to it, a small sub would be, IMO, the best set up. You may be able to do it on 300 quid if you pick up a couple of pieces 2nd hand.
Anyway, I would pick a HU first, and then see how much cash you got left, then decide the rest of the install from there. Any ideas on what HU you want?

yeh was looking at

pioneer DEH-P7700MP

ALPINE 9851-R

theres others but there my top 2

yeah thats actually a good point, start from the headunit, a good quality source is most important, doesnt matter how good the speakers are if the source quality is crap.

Buy a Headunit - £150.00 will get you a MP3 Jobbie then buy an Amp and a Sub (another £150.00).This is the best way to spend £300.00 and get a good upgrade for your money.

The componants can wait - Standard speakers will sound much better through a aftermarket headunit, add a Sub and turn the gain up on the amp and the bass down (abit) on the headunit (this will stop the standard speakers Distorting and give you bass from your Sub) and the system will sound 1000% better than standard.
