Hello im new to the forum and i havent found a post which helps. Im trying to fit an aftermarket sony stereo into my new punto.

I plugged the aftermarket ISO lead in and the stereo had power (the cd moved in and out) but the headunit didnt turn on even with the ignition on. This is the colours of the punto ISO block

  1. None
  2. Black & Pink
  3. Red & White - wired yellow to this wire
  4. Pink & White - wired red to this wirse
  5. None
  6. Grey
  7. Black - wired black to this wire
  8. None
I removed the red wire from its slot in the aftermarket ISO block and connected it up to no 4 -pink & white, now it turns on all the time, but I want it to turn on with the ignition. Can anyone tell me how to wire up the wires correctly? Do i need a punto specific ISO lead to plug into the sony headunit? PC2-32-4?

thanks

I did use the search and I followed that post and moved the red wire. But my stereo isn't turning on and off with the ignition its constantly on. That's why I posted hoping someone could help.

Dont touch the Pink and white wires
there Canbus connections - leave them well alone with aftermarket HU

I believe keep the main power feed where it should be
And you have to run a Signal wire from the cig lighter to the HU to tell it when it can/cant turn on :)

Should I remove the red wire from the pink and white white? Why can't it be connected to this? Is there no way to get an aftermarket stereo to work without adding a signal wire to the cig lighter

No it can, no there isn't.

It's all canbus on Fiats, just like most new cars now are, your fitting a none canbus compatible headunit, so you'll need to do some work to get it to function as you want. Not that hard to add a signal fee (y)
