very nice, been looking at that headunit for a while, let us know how it sounds etc!!

Will do, my mate has a similar spec one and the quality swayed it for me, the only thing that slighty annoys me is the controls and options can be a bit confusing, so many settings etc.

@ Apple, it's one of the only ones that isn't black and green!

Not bad. t'is likely cheaper than the £230 I paid for it but was saving on shipping as I got an Accoustic shelf at the same time.

One of the reason i am not a fan of apline cos they are a bit fiddly!!

As for the finish, its nice to see summat different other than black and green!!

Totally agree, the reliabilty of my mates and my GF made me get one, both never missed a beat and apparently the MP3 HU loads the song into a kind of memory so there is no skipping, I think I heard that anyway.

i imagine there will be some sort of antishock thing like u get in personal cd players, my sony never skips!!

I want an alpine, and an ipod.

I did it all wrong, at the moment i have a Sony setup (HU and changer), and my zen plugged into the HU.

So to swap over to get ipod controls on the HU, i'd need a new HU, new changer and new mp3 player.

Waaaay too much for me!

Ive never used an alpine, so dunno how fiddly they are. All the sound processing on mine is done by the EQ anyway so.. :D

It came today, requires some extra wiring due to te 4x60 internal amp so it won't be fitted till later.

Didn't know it came with remote though, very cool but not much use in a Cento though!

I'll give it to passengers to play with.

WR, I think from another post, basically it must state that 4*60 watt at 240watt is too much for normal car wiring.

I can't verify if it is correct, Liam could be wrong (I didn't say that ;)) the manufacturer may just be covering their ass or different cars may have better wiring.

However, it's fair enough if the standard HU is 4*25 watt (which remember most standard units arent' as high) and a new one is 250watt it requires a lot more power. If the standard cabling isn't thick enough it will heat up too much and...ahh!

ALthough I expect the standard Uno unit is 4*5watt, I fitted 4*50watt and my car didn't combust.

Damn. Forget this one then. No way am I changing all the wiring.

Cheers for explaining (y)

Do'nt think its all the wiring, just the supply cable from the battery, quite easy.
If you go for any internal amped HU at this type of power it will be advisable.
