CINQ

With a cinq you get 2 10cm speakers behind grilles under the wing mirror adjusters at the ends of the dash. You dont get rear speakers and there is no wiring for them installed. You can fit speakers in custom rear door cards very easily. 6x9's are a good fit if your wondering. (y)

In the boot you can easily fit 2 12" subs in the standard sub enclosures, but will struggle to find room for more than 1 amp as well. 1 12" sub is recommended.

Exactly the kind of data i want to hear, cheers Dan (y)

Re: Standard Speaker Sizes (DATA STILL NEEDED)

sei 10cms speakers in front behind dash grills, will need allen key to get acess to them, may require trimming in order to fit onto speaker grills

unsure of speakers in back, have never looked

possible location for rear speakers are parcel shelf and custom mdf rear quarts, although in drivers side rear quart size maybe restricted due too petrol filler neck being in the way - although 6x9's can squeeze in there but you will have to mark them up carefully before cutting

Punto mk2 2dr - Spk Locations - in front doors at the bottom
- at the back at the sides (near seat belt reels)
Size - Front - 17cm
- Back - 13cm

6x9 fit in the real parcel shelf

For a more extreme installation just pm me (Like 2 800watt amps and a 12" DVC sub while still keeping the spare wheel accessable)

Punto mk2 (3dr dont know if same as 5dr)

Front, behind grill in doors: 16.5cm
Rear, either side of parcel shelf: 10cm

Tweeters in front door- tweeter's a tweeter isnt it??

Erm, my tweeter was on the speaker itself (ie 2 way coaxial) (y)

About the sizes I have the boxes of the after market speakers near me (got them to make sure) and one says "17cm", the other says "13cm". Both are Pioneer speakers. To tell you the truth I had 10cm speakers but they were slightly smaller and had to use an adapter plate.

You sure those coaxial speakers were the standard factory fodder?

Reading from the manual, the standard fit speakers in the front are 16.5mm (im sure 17cm would fit) and rear are 10cm. Tweeter is under trim near door mirror adjuster.

Wow, I am off to find those tweeters!!!

About the rear speakers I am not gonna go against you cause when I ordered my car there was an option for "Uprated sound system" and I chose it just to get the face plate and the wiring. So it might have got a mod done to install larger speakers.

Punto Mk1: Speakers mounted in dash are 8.7cm, ones in rear shelf supports are 10cm. :)

sweet! but is it worth changing those dash speakers since they are so small??

Re: Standard Speaker Sizes (DATA STILL NEEDED)

Marea saloon rear speakers - 5"x7" mounting depth 60mm. You can fit deeper ones under the standard grilles, but you'll need to pack them up. Metal parcel shelf gets in the way.

Front speakers - 5"x7", not sure on max mounting depth. You can get adaptors for the bravo/a/marea to fit 13cm components in the front doors though.

Dash tweeters - not sure on size.

Multipla sizes:

Appear to be 6" in the front doors and 6x4 in the rear doors.

Thats the mk1. I haven't seen the mk2 so I don't know if it's any different.

Speakers in the rear doors are not 6x4 as I originally thought. They are something like 7x5. A size inbetween 6x4 and 6x9.

Not sure the exact size but I took my old ones into the local radio shop and they had some in stock which slipped straight in.

Uno 45 / Turbo

In each front door behind the door pockets there's 5.25inch dual cone speakers.

4 inch spaces in the back but not available from factory and no wiring for them either.

I have a punto MK1 and am intrested in what speakers would fit the standard rear and front speaker shelves, any info will be helpful:)

Cheers!
