i have a jvc kd r411 head unit fitted which works fine, but i recently upgraded my usb stick from a cheep 2gb stick to a 16gb sandisk cruzer blade as i listen to a lot of music and dont have all that much time (or incentive) to keep changing the music on the usb all the time. the files etc are on and work fine, but with the usb in, when i turn the stereo on, it registers "no usb" and i have to pull out the usb and put it back in for it to register the files then it plays fine and from the last point of the song played like it should. my old 2gb usb didnt do this and just loaded up/played the tracks without any issues.
has anyone else had any issues like this with a usb stick? would it be a compatibility issue with the actual memory stick? would i need any software on it to help etc? im at a loss on it. tried reformatting it etc and still the same. i have read somewhere that jvc usbs are compatible up to 4gb, but i have also read they are fine up to 16gb so im not sure who to believe.
i know its not the end of the world as it still plays the tracks but its just a pain in the ass and just bugs the hell out of me.

believe when i say i had the same radio, i sold it to my bro now because he has a rover and no taste :D

i have tried an 8gb card in mine they do not work, unless u buy a new radio, i would stick to your 2gb card, plus there is alot better radios out there for cheap tooo, i just bought a mutant radio with sd card slot and remote for £25 and sold my jvc for £25 lol

the jvc's are like their hifis, ok on low volume and suck up high :D
