hello there,

I have a big problem. The problem is that when messing with the original ISO connector in my MK1 punto, i managed to dislodge some of the connections that run to the speakers and i am now only running on ONE speaker instead of four. I know this because if i wiggle some of the wires the other speakers crackle and sort of work for a few seconds. This is one of the problems, the major problem is that i have bought a new ISO with wiring but the colours don't match with the original wiring, the original has a pink/black wire and two really light blue striped coloured wires, but the new ISO doesn't. I know that the yellow and red wires are the power and memory wires and the black wire is the earth, but past that i am completely in the dark. (im a novice you see)

Any help will be REALLY appreciated. i.e. which colour goes where and how to wire the new ISO, it's doing my head in.

(sorry for the long post)

Thanks!!

Thanks for the quick reply, but the pins on the original look like they are in different positions to the ISO connector i have got, this has come with the JVC headunit i have bought, not to sure if the ISO that came with the headunit is any different to standard ones you can buy.
(i may be talking completely out of my ar*e at this point though)

i used the original Punto connector and the headunit works (sorry worked) perfectly, so the original connector has to be an ISO. I just don't get why the pins don't match up between the old and new ISO's.

Do you have a haynes manual and the original Fiat manual to hand?

My wiring was a mess in my cinq - even had extra wires.
I had to use the haynes manual to double check the power leads/ earth cable colours, and the cinq owners manual to determine the speaker wire colours. I had to use the wiring harness supplied with my JVC unit, which had all the wires labelled, and I matched them all up using crimp on bullet connectors (didn't solder just in case I made a mistake).

Hope this helps
