Hi all, Im new to the forum. Just got myself a mk1 Punto with a dodgy wired radio so Ive taken that out and connected my Kenwood stereo.

Problem is when I turn the engine off and take the key out the radio will stay on and keep playing! Even if I turn it off and take the face off Im not sure if there is still power going to it, as the battery was drained this morning?

Can anyone help on the wiring?

Bellow is a pic of the power wiring coming out of the car...

Not sure which lead goes through the ignition, which is the main power and which is for memory?

Hi welcome to the forum
Fiats are not ignition fed so it will always be on unless you splice into the ignition. Have a search this has been discussed a lot on here.

The only reason for it to flatten your battery though is because it has seen better days. If you replace it with a new one and use the car every day then you should be fine. (y)

Ok thanks, Ive kind of got used to having to turn it off, its abit annoying though so might look into that.

I think what ran the battery down, is that I have a noise box that plays sound to outside and Id left it on playing animal noises coming back down on the motorway from Manchester to Birmingham. Seems to be ok now.
