Hi All

I bought a punto as above and it has an aftermarket radio. Recently the CD loader jammed. The owner had left me the original radio so I have tried to reinstall that. The 2 x ISO connectors and 3 x other connectors seem to all line up and the stereo seems to work. However, the problem I have is that there is a red wire with an in line fuse that is loose and isnt connrected to anything. I am sure this belongs somewhere but not sure where exaclty. Does anyone have any idea or do they have the same car so that they can have a look for me?

As far as I can see its the only cable with an inline fuse and seems to be spliced into another main red power cable that goes into one of the ISOs on the Fiat ISO side. The splice is a blue plastic attachment to the main wire so it looks like something official from Fiat.

Sounds like the last owner spliced into the ignition by going into the HU's permanant live. Or had some kind of accesory running off it which is not a good idea.
