Hiya, I have just bought a 2001 fiat brava 1.2 which is fitted with a standard fiat cd player. everytime I put a cd in it comes up saying surface. Ive tried a cleaner but that hasnt worked. anyone got any ideas how I can fix this? I called the previous owners and they said it was fine with them but they didn't use it much.

when I started it this morning it came up saying 'safe' and wont even let me listen to the radio
