Just got a 2002 1.2 5 door Punto Dynamic and now I'm looking to upgrade the factory-fitted audio set up. Don't really know anything about changing them so would prefer not to start putting wires in. Would quite like to keep the boot free as well.

Really I want to get a new head unit I can plug an ipod into and then get the best speakers possible, all for less than about £150-200.

Advice/recommendations please!

Its difficult to better the standard speakers without an amp. If you want to make an improvement i suggest adding a bit of sound deadening for the front doors and screwing a small amp to the back seats to run the standard speakers. When amping the standards you would be best off finding somebody with a scope just ask if you need more info about that.

Wiring isnt all that difficult and now your here you can ask any questions and we will help you out.

Also changing the head unit will take up 90% of your budget. I think that we can help you wire an Ipod adaptor to your standard unit. Then you can get a line level converter for about £15-£60. This means that you will have more money towards a better amp and some sound deadening as HU's with Ipod control will generally be more than your budget. (y)

If your up for it then im up for helping you out. If your anywhere near kent i dont mind helping you fit anything too.

Edit:- Shropshire lad is a bit of a giveaway to your location lol.

Cheers. Might crack into the savings and up the budget a bit.

Could you recommend a decent (and cheap) amplifier that I could attach to the back seats?

i have a kenwood amp which im not using due to blowing my 6x9s. i think its a 300W amp and the 6x9's were 100W. pm me if ur interested.
