Its been one of those days.

Got up early, dropped my GF off to work. On the way home, a pothole in the road decides to try and take my car out and shocked my headunit. So i had to strip my headunit right down to bear components, clean it all up and then reclamp it all (theres a stupid plug right in the middle thats totally inaccesable and needs a good push as it dislodges going over bumps). Put it back fine, and it worked (thank god).

Had plenty of time so i started to wire up my second amp and my 6x9s. NOt just a simple job as i had no room for them and the parcel shelf needed reinforcing. Best part of the afternoon and evening gone and i've managed to rig up a block which my subs and amps are all screwed to so i can take them in and out if need be. All was going fine..

Cut out the holes for my new 6x9s (Vibe QB69) in the parcel shelf, reinforced it with plywood and trimmed it all out. Mounted the speakers and crossovers all nice and neatly, clipped the wires in and tidied it all up. It even fit! (being jammy i had about 5mm clearance from the 6x9 magnets and the sub boxes).
Still was going fine...

Turned the stereo on
I've never heard such a crappy noise from the speakers in my life :D I sat and twiddled the amp, removed half the wiring a re-routed it as i thought the distortion was due to a nearby power line - still no luck. Found that it was only 1 speaker that was actually doing it, so had set the amp up as it should be, then changed up the crossovers (ruining all my wiring) and still made no difference.

Finally took the faulty one out, and found the cone was bent up at one corner . So now gotta rip all my wiring out, package the speakers up and send them back to get a replacement.

So now im left with naff all rear speakers as my old ones no longer fit, 2 gaping holes into the parcel shelf which show off my pair of subs to potential thieves, im freezing cold, and i cut my finger.

All in all, i should have staying in bed :D

Umm, leave an old coat or something on the shelf to hide your amp (y)

Believe me, you're not the only one who's had "one of those days" :bang: although mine wasn't (entirely) car-related

That was the 3rd actually  n I've no idea if there'll be a fourth, wait n see if I hear own from her!
This is my grim tale of... well, just general s***ness really! *cue that music from the Mills and Spoon thing on radio 1, if you've got no idea what I'm on about it don't matter)*

'Twas a January morn, in ye olde borough of Sheffield, and... ok I can't keep this up. Basically, picked her up from train station this a.m. as she'd been back home to go to work, headed out to the peaks for a wander. On way there she realised she'd left her trainers at home n the ones shes got on are no good for walking, so we decided that it'd just be a short wander then head to pub for a bit of munch.
We get into the Peaks, park the car at this biking centre thing, and head off walking. we got about 30 yards from the car and I heard the alarm going off. Ignored it as it shuts up after 30 seconds... about half an hour in, she's moaning about getting mud on her shoes  and I suddenly realise that I didn't put a f***ing pay n display ticket on the car! :bang: "Oh s**t, i'm gonna get clamped" so we head back, we get near the place and I can hear, faintly, my bloody alarm going. And it keeps going off, resetting itself, going off again as we get nearer the car. Luckily I hadn't been clamped, but by this point we were both so p*ssed off that we decide to give up, call it a day and go home. On the way out of the car park some stupid cow jogs in front of my moving car then has the nerve to yell "idiot" at me  at which point I lose my rag, lean out the window, tell her to f*** off, and tear out of the car park. Which, as you'd imagine, didn't go down too well with the girl I was with. She made a joke out of it but I don't think she was too impressed, neither was i to be honest. Drove back, dropped her off, came home, couldn't fix the bloody car alarm, spent the rest of the day doing poxy revision.
S***e.

OK, not exactly a major disaster I admit, but I'd been looking forward to having a day in the countryside away from exam revision, and events conspired to f*** it all up.

 :bang:  :bang:

Aww poor JB :(

Ahh on a third date it shouldnt matter, im sure you'll see her again (if you want to.)

I cant believe you purposly went for a day walking and she forgot her trainers - its the kind of thing id do :D

Sounds like a pretty rough day then. I always find it funny when a woman makes a cockup (in your case leaves trainers) and its your fault one way or another. Its as if its your fault theres mud on the earth :bang:

As for road rage, kinda reminds me of a huge row i had yesterday with some woman blocking my work parking entrace. My uno vs her Merc SLK  I parked ON her bumper and left it there. she was waiting for an hour aparently (she shoulda looked for the note i wrote on her windscreen) :D She had the cheek to tell me its not the done thing to block people in, yet by her parking where she did (especially as its got zig zags and huge no parking sign) she blocked about 5 people in and 2 people out. :bang:

Umm, I will if she wants to, but I'm not chasing after her, I reckon it's her turn to make an effort :p ;) on the bright side, saved me the cost of pub lunch which will help when I have to buy a new alarm

should have made her pay anyway :p

What, for a new alarm? Hmmm, good idea, dunno quite how I'd swing that one! :D
In fairness to her, she did say that if I got clamped then she'd pay half, obviously I wouldn't have let her but still... :)
