I just got what I thought would be a sub and speakers installed however they told me after taking my car for the day that I needed a speaker surround as the 3 rivet thing there now won't support after Market speakers. Could someone please tell me what surrounds fit in to support after Market speakers. As there do not seem to be any specific to fiat bravo.

Was this a professional place.
Ok here is the best thing to do, as the prefab adaptors will sound awful.
First you need to cut the cones, and spider out of the speakers pods. Then make sure that all of the plastic from the spiders is off so you have a smooth front and rear. I got the excess using small electrical snips. (sorry no pics for this one)

Then you need to make some mdf baffles. I did it for the rear of the pod as there is very little clearance for the door card but have a measure and see if it would be better on the front.

Then take lots of sound deadening and line the inside of the pod.

And outside

MK2 of this will be coming soon lol

I don't think i have the skill to able to do that, so for now i just wanted to purchase the right adaptors so i can get it over with but they just dont seem to have any does anyone know if these ones will fit!
Fronts:
FIAT PUNTO 165 mm FRONT SPEAKER ADAPTOR KIT SAK-1400

Rears:
SAK1403 Fiat Punto Grande Rear Door Speaker Adaptors

Are you 110% sure those are the right ones for the front. They have four holes and the bloke who was looking said i had three at the moment. (does this make a difference)

Also what about rears as the bravo rears are 13cm

My fronts are just vibes these ones -- vibe sek60
rears -- ALPINE SPR-13C 5-1/4" (13cm) COAXIAL 2-WAY SPEAKER

I am almost 100% sure have a search of the bravo section, i cant seem to find the thread that shows somebody doing it.
Seriously dude just ask the guy to make some MDF baffles. It will be worth the little extra money. If he cant do that then dont pay him and walk. Any half decent audio installer will be able to knock up some baffles in an Hour.

i've decided to take it elsewhere and get the baffels done there :)
thanks for the help.
changed the speakers as well :) so if i'm putting in £200 pairs of speakers might as well get them fitted right.

Nice one. £200 For vibe speakers . I wouldnt bother with the rears TBH, If you fit the front properly there is no need. Also the real difference wont come until you fit an amp.
Before you rush into anything i think you need to discuss what you are after and what budget you have all in.
Go armed with some knowledge and it will go a long way.
I was honestly geting upset by what the other guy was offering you, i can get back to work happy now :)

Nooo sorry in the process of ordering and i keep deleting and adding things.
I realised the vibes were not that good so i had a little rethink and decided on these as fronts - SPX-17REF which were about 250
these for the rears -coaxail alpines.
but im stuck on an amp to power them.. any help?

On that note though would you mind running over what i can get for my budget and what would be good for front backs(if needed) and amp

OK so the options should start rolling in now.
First is this
http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/forums/index.php?showtopic=64966
Spec
2 x 210w rms @ 4 ohm
4 x 105w rms @ 2 ohm
4 x 65w rms @ 4 ohm

£75 delivered

Then this
2 x Precision Power PPI 2360 £90 each+ p&p

Specs here http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1498

Basically
2 x 90W @ 4 ohms
2 x 180W @ 2 ohms
1 x 360W @ 4 ohms bridged
THD: 0.05%
Freq. Response: 7Hz 80kHz
S/N Ratio: 105dB
Damping Factor: >300
Max. Current Draw: 70A
Fuse: 2 x 30A
Dimensions: 11.2" x 10.1

Best bit about these amps imho is that they will take inputs directly from speaker cable as well as rca's, so you can run an amped system off an oem/stock car stereo. underrated specs as per most old school PPI, if you think that a Genesis DM as above also has a 70Amp maximum draw, both of these will run a sub and pair of comps beautifully all day long.

This one is a little pricey but an absolutely amazing amp for the money.
JL Audio 300/4 v2
Bridge it to 2ch mint condition

Would i be noticing a massive difference if i was to get a more expensive amp over a simple one?
Also inregards to the post before i havea kenwood dnx7240bt

Ive never heard those comps TBH but dont worry ill hook you up.
Yes the JL Amp will be sooo worth the extra money. I have a cheaper 2 channel version called a JLe250 and it is absolutely brilliant. JL make great sounding amps and that one is a good price.
You are starting to look at some serious kit now. I think we need to talk about exactly what you want to achieve. Are you free at lunch time. If so PM me your number and ill give you a call.
