Hi guys, I am wanting to upgrade my Fiat 500 sound system by adding new speakers and an under the seat subwoofer. I was going to go with the optional upgrade before the car was built but the dealers really messed me around on it all so I thought it would be easier to go without.

I was impressed with the standard sound system as it was, but after hearing samples of Pendulums new album I realize it's time for an upgrade!

I would prefer to keep the standard head unit but it I need to upgrade then I guess it can't be avoided....

So yeah, I would love to hear about anyone who has done this to their 500 and what equipment they used. Also for anything I need to look out for while installing the new speakers/sub.

Thanks!

Hi welcome to the forum. There was a thread very similar to this so i will dig it out for you in a bit.
You can keep the standard head unit, it will never send a great quality signal to your amps in comparison to an aftermarket unit but there are things like the Audison bit one which do a pretty good job at hiding it. http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/11447.html
Expensive i know but they can be had a lot cheaper second hand and there are other cheaper products on the market. That was just an example.

So what sort of budget do you have?
