Hi, this is my first time on the Fiat forum and i'm looking for a little help changing the standard tape player in my 2002 stilo for an mp3 goodmans (which i have already bought).
The problem i'm having is once the factory stereo is out and the new one is plugged in i'm getting no power?!?! I'm new to adapting my car in anyway and assumed with the adaptor it would be plug and play but to no avail...anyone got an idea?

Welcome to the forum. You may find a yellow or red cable on the stereo that is not connected to anything. This needs a feed from one of the yellow or red cables on the loom. Forgot which way around it was but basically the stereo requires an extra feed.

Thank you both for the advice, the guide really helped, however i re-wired the ISO but went to install the radio and still got no power...I looked at the cable from the car and all i have are red, black and thin two pink cables...no additional power cable that would feed onto the rewired ISO. Does anyone know where i have gone wrong or am i unable to fit a new stereo? :worship:

You will be able to fit a stereo! Don't worry.

There should be either 1 cable that is always live & 1 thats only live with the ignition on OR just one permanat live. You'll need a test lamp or volt meter to check this. You also check that the earth [negative] is good by doing this.
If you don't get voltage try checking for voltage from the battery negative post to your radio wires to eliminate a fault with the earth wire.

Good luck !:)

I do have just a live cable, although doesnt seem to give enough power...i think i might have to take it to a professional, does anyone know of anyone? dare i say halfords:bang:
