I have this problem intermittently but when it does happen it last for a while. I have 6 station presets (maximum I can have) when I use the up/down station buttons on the steering wheel it will only go from presets 1-3 via the up button. The down button goes 3-2-1 etc.

If I press preset 4 on the actual radio, then the steering wheel buttons will only access presets 4-5-6.

Very strange. I've tried looking for threads on here on diagnostics mode, but wasnt able to find them.

I havea 2007 Punto Grande 1.4

Would disconnecting the battery help you think? Im still under warranty, but if its a simple fix I would rather do it myself as there is only one Fiat dealer here in Adelaide and its a pain to get to.

Thanks for any assistance :)

I have the same kind of prob with mine - it will go up through all 6 quite easiliy, and loop back round to 1.
But if I try to go down from 5, it just flicks between 5+6.

The hassle I had trying to get the CD player to work (long story, but it never did get fixed), I don't fancy the hassle going back to Fiat for this lol

Sounds to me like if you are going back through the stations then you are going too slow. If you try and skip the track backwards by pressing once, as soon as the HU recognises and starts to play if you were to then press skip backwards again it will just start the same song.
I could be completely wrong though lol, that is just the 1st thing that poped in my head.

My fault is with the actual radio station pre-sets though for the 1-6 buttons, not the CD player (which doesn't work at all lol)

Oh right. I would phone up Fiat UK and make a complaint then. If people dont even complain then they will never know their true downfalls. (y)

Have already spoken to Fiat about the CD player - they have offered to replace it under warranty, but I spent 6 months driving to dealers for them to get part numbers, phoning up chasing it all, driving back to the dealers, more phoning up chasing them, waiting round for a stereo to be delivered, to then be told they need to take the stereo out completely before they can even order the new one!!
I'd rather have a broken stereo than no stereo at all :( Keep meaning to buy a new HU anyways, but not the point.

and suddenly after putting up with it for 10 months, I post on here, and it fixes itself!! typical!! wish the CD player would fix itself too lol
