Hello all,

Ive been lurking round these parts for a few days now and read almost every thread on wiring a punto (03) plate, but none really help me out.
For starters, i know nothing about car installs as the following will show.

About 2 years ago i replaced the rubbish Punto HU and came out to it in the morning and the battery was dead. I had no idea why so put the old HU back in and left it at that.
After reading on here that was due to the switched power and the constant power was obviously drawing from my new HU at all times even when it was off.

Well, i now use the car alot more and really want to get my iphone working in it and have decided on a B/T HU.

I have pulled it open and found that 2 wires are soldered together, but not by me so must have been done before this was bought, but strangely the missus bought it brand new !!! Bit odd as it is covered in white insulation tape !!
Im not sure if these are power ones or not.
Anyway, here are the 2 wires are shown here :

They are labelled according to the diagram above as "UB" and "NC". No idea what that means.

I was going to follow the ISO guide on this site, but the 2 wires together has thrown me, can anyone help in getting switched power when i put in a new install.

Ta for listening.

I replaced mine with the help of my brother but in the manual it should give you a full brake down of which wire is which and if you can get the original with the new HU you should be able to do each wire one by one  thats the only way i know :)

Cheers for the reply.

I now need to find the manual. I have noticed the 8-pin socket in the back, which if works will eliminate the need for a new HU as i can just plug my iphone into that using an 8-pin to aux lead.
Fingers crossed.
