The Vibe has the higher RMS and max output, but ive never heard them. The Pioneer TS-E1795 look ace and ive listened to Pioneer speakers and they have good sound quality.

17cm?? Are they to replace the door speakers in a mk2??

yes they are,
woolfrecepunto, if you had to choose which ones would you get? looking for somthing with some base but good crisp sound
cheers

I would go for those Pioneer TSE1795, only problem is a mate of mine has Pioneer in the doors of his mk2 and they were too deep for the existing holes. He cut a hole in the existing speaker grill and screwed them onto that with the Pioneer grill over the top. Its not really a big problem, just something to think about. He has Pioneer 6x9s on the parcel shelf aswell and the sound is very clear, with good bass. He has a Kenwood 4x45W headunit.

The Vibe speakers are too small, it says theyre 16cm I think.

if i was you mate id go for the vibe speakers as the subs are some of the best around so the speakers must be good.

ive got some pioneer 6x9's by me now out of my brothers car as we ripped them out as the quality was atrocious so we replced them with jbl power series ones which are excellent but dont whatever you do buy jbl gto series stuff as its **** as ive found out.

alpine gear is also good i know from being in a mates car which has the type r subs which is good clear bass but id go for the vibes it is truly good quality gear and worth the money in my oppinion.

thanks for the info,
when looking for speakers do i look for the lowest frequency or the highest.

Vibe are good, I have the CBR active 12" sub in my cinq boot, along with Pioneer 6x9's on the shelf. Cant fault the lot to be honest.

I must admit I'd go with "wolfracepunto" on this one and pick the Pioneer TSE1795.

They're great looking and are also a 3 way speaker, unlike the Vibes which are only a 2 way, which means it should help with the clarity your after. Althought the RMS value of them is 10W RMS lower than the Vibes, the Peak power is 20W higher.

This is just a personal opinion, so don't take my word for it but I rate Pioneer very highly and you have no hesitation buying their equipement, I've heard a number of speakers from Pioneer and they all produced good clear sound.

HTH

Vibe are made by an american company Lanzar, its their super crap, super cheap line of equipment, dont even bother with lanzar unless its their Optidrive line, the rest of the stuff is just OEM components branded as Vibe or Viberant. I'd say go for the pioneers aswell, they're a decent reputable brand and most of the time they sound pretty good, even with an average installation.

good luck,

Matt
