Im new to the Fiat Punto seen so i am in need of some help.
I have been looking through the forums about speakers in a 3 door Punto and im really not sure what to do.

Some people have said 6x9's shouldn't be used in a 3 door Punto because of its size, some people say that they should use 6x9's as it makes it louder etc.

Im looking to get a subwoofer, new door speakers and possibly 6x9's if i can come to conclusion whether to get them or not.

So basicly i am looking for idea's on the fact of having 6x9's in a MK2 Fiat Punto. I am looking for it to be quite loud but also to be good quality so those factors may affect the possibly that i will need 6x9's. Any help will be most greatfull thank you.

It looks like your research has sent you towards the right direction as it seems you have learnt that 6x9's are poor quality.
They are only really any good for a bit of cheap bass without having to use a sub so i would leave them out of your plans if i were you.
Also if small speakers such as 6x9's share the same air space as a larger sub then the air movement will eventually make them go pop.

There is another problem with the door speakers as there is not a lot of clearance between the mount and the window line .
Apparently it is like 46mm but i have heard of people fitting up to about 60mm.

You can also buy custom pods i forget where from for about £90 so you can fit any 6.5" component you like.

I will definatly take a look at those door speakers and take into account the space we have.

I was thinking about a budget of around £150 tops for the door speakers and around again £150 - £200 for a subwoofer. I'm not exacly on a budget as i can give and take either way, i would rather pay that extra bit more and get some good quality. But it has deffiatly been alot of help giving me the information about the 6x9's.

I just have a slight query. Under my circumstances. What would you say i would need to look for? For instance. What power, or clarity should i be looking for. Like i said, im a bit new to the whole car seen, so i would rather get it right first time than spending lots of money on the way making mistakes.

I have just fitted 58mm depth speakers into my 3 door mk2b, and they are literally at the limit. mm's fromt the window guides. So although people say 49mm it comes down to how WIDE the magnet is aswell.
