Recently hooked up 12' JBL sub and mx450 amp. My head unit has 1 RCA red and white cables) out cable , and that runs the sub, im just wondering whether i need another RCA cable to be able to amp a pair of speakers, or whether 1 RCA lead would be sufficient to power the sub and speakers.

If i need another RCA lead, is there such thing as a splitter as my headunit only has 1 pre-out for it.

yep you can buy rca splitters. You want 1 female to 2 male connecions. They go just before the amp. Guessing the amp is 4 channel? Dan

Thanks i wasnt sure whether 1 RCA would be enough for sub and speakers.

Ye its a 4channel amp

Not being a killjoy or anything, I got a seperate rca for the speakers and sub but surely your comprismising with the sound spliting the rca cables

Yeh i think it does do that, but my headunit only has 1 RCA, so...

They should be fine, have i look on ebay might find them cheaper

Found some on ebay, there like £3.50, and arent like an extended cable, more like an adapter, and from hong kong . said delivery between 7 - 14 days.
