clarion headunit problem with punto mk2b

Hi guys,

Basically, the wire block that is standard with the punto MK2B does not match up to my clarion headunit. The unit will fit secure but not turn on. I managed to solve it at one point, but recently removed it and messed up botch job wiring so back to it no longer working.

Is it a common issue that the wire block does not fit headunits of certain manufactures which would be proper weird??

Or can anyone recommend some headunits that will fit right away for a reasonable price.

go to motor shop an buy a connector block that will connect to a clarion and original punto wires.. cost about 12 quid.

yee, i went halfords...they gave me one they were sure would work. but no luck...spose i gotta attempt wiring it again...thx for help anyway mate.

Standard ISO but the Red needs to be joined inline with the yellow. I bet you have just connected Yellow to Yellow and Red to Red buddy.

I thought you do that only if you want to use a stereo withthout a key in ignition. BTW, same adapters (connectors blocks) cost around 6 quid on eBay delivered against Halfords' £13-20. Halfords' worker suggested that to me lol

You would on any other car but on Fiats they have no ignition live so you have to put the red to the yellow to give it power.
