Hi

Has anyone got any preference on manufacturer and style of headunit...speakers etc...?

i am terrible at making a decision for a headunit.... i think i might go for a sony cdxf5500 BUT the alpine units look good as well? - anyone got any no gos or bad complaints on any units..?

any advice would be greatful.....

by the way looking to start getting a system thats all one manufacturer!!!

The Sony headunits are good, ive got one and it hasnt let me down and I think it gives ok sound. But if I were you go for the Alpine, ive heard very good things about them esp if its got the 4x60watt amp.

Alpine are way better then Sony in terms of speakers, Alpine also do good subs/amps.

Pioneer are another decent manufacturer which I would go for.......probably on par with Alpine???

i used to have alpine headunit, speakers and sub in my punto jesus that thing was loud, alpine are a very good make but like wolfrace said pioneer are good as well. The alpine stuff I had, the sound and bass was all very good but its up to you

id definitely go for alpine mate, ive got an alpine 9815rb, and i cant fault it in anyway at all, its a peach of a hu and looks great, features are all there to. you can pick a 2nd hand alpine for quite a good price, even the old alpine 7894rb is regarded as a great sq heaadunit, and still looks the part...alpine all that, if u want a one brand system which is affordable, id go for alpine...
