Thinking of replacing the Unit in my Panda Sporting.
It's the Cd Radio but has no MP3 function
I'm considering one of the Kenwood Double Din units. maybe the Sat Nav DVD
player
Does anyone have one of these ?
Any ideas on where I could get the best Price on one. Would it have to be fitted professionally or could i tackle it myself.
Thanks for any Info
Regards
Ian

Google is your friend for finding the best price for something, but just make sure that when you compare them you're looking at the delivered price and including VAT as some companies are quite devious at presenting the best price.

As to whether you could fit it yourself, I guess comes down to how competent with a screw driver you are :p Most of the head units I've fitted are just plug and play (once you have the correct plug!) so you should be ok.

This topic came up a month or two ago, i was quite keen too. Think you have to buy a fascia adaptor as well. The one i wanted was a bit on the expensive side so I'll wait till Jan/Feb/credit crunch sales early next year! Here's the pic i shopped in too, looks good yea?

That looks Nice
Is that the Pioneer Unit ?
Had a look at some prices for the Kenwood 5200 coming in at just over £500
I think the mounting adaptors are another £40-50 so I will keep looking.
Thanks again
Ian

if you want to do cheap i can recommend the kenwood kdc-5041u, you should be able to get it for about £70-£80. takes a usb flash drive, i have a 8gb integral less than a third of storage used and i think there is about 20 full cds on. pioneer compact active sub under drivers seat and jobs a good un.
speaker upgrade will follow when i can afford it.

A few units with Preouts and USB/ connectivity

You do have to buy an adaptor for the preouts (£10) for blaupunkt but they are good units for the price.

You cant go wrong with kenwood

Excelent VFM

So speakers you will have to get the right size ones for your car but here are a few.

If you really are on a budget

Most amps will blow these to pieces tbh but the quality is pretty good for the price.

JBL are very well known for volume and VFM also these are good for fitting in the MK2/2B punto as there isnt a lot of clearance in the doors for speakers.

With DLS you are stepping up in the world and moving from budget to mid quality stuff. These are good for SQ

These Hertz should be good for Volume

Ah i see you got it from Car Audio Direct, please do a thread on what you think of the sub?
That HU looks sweet, are you not planning to amp up the other speakers.

Your Right
Car Audio direct it was.
All from their special Offer Range. Hadn't thought of amping the other Speakers. I'l wait and see how it sounds with the Sub.
