You may be able to get the sound to play through HU if it has an Auxillery input but it wont have any kind of interface so you would have to know how to navigate through the channels without seeing anything.
Also i very much doubt that you will get a decent signal strengh especially on a cheapy system like that on the move.
I would suggest getting a DAB unit for your car.

So if you have no screen how are you gonna know what channel its on? No doubt it will work only way for you to have DAB is to buy a DAB headunit and DAB aerial

I have changed my radio twice in 2 weeks, I need to stick with this one! You dont seem to be able to get HU with bluetooth and DAB together so I went for bluetooth, which does not even work properly with my phone even though it is 'compatable'!

I'll have to just keep a lookout for the Pioneer receiver at a decent....ish price

If the radio is a P series pioneer i.e P77 etc then you just need the add on DAB box and aerial

There are more ways of getting DAB than changing the HU. You can get a Pure Highway DAB radio, or accoustic solutions do one. You can also get the DAB receiver for your car stereo, but this is expensive.

An example of the pioneer one is this, and they tend to sell for £120

I agree that the first thing i linked to was a bit daft! I was in Halfords at lunch and the bloke said that you can get hold of generic DAB receivers rather than spending £120 on the actual one for the stereo. So that is what I had in mind, and wanted to know if people had any info on them, rather than the freeview receiver.
