hey people!
I just bought myself a seicento!.. however I'm not very good on the electrics side of mechanics & stuffs, so I was wondering does anybody own a seic with better speakers fitted in the original dash speaker holes which pack more of a punch as it were?
Also, any recommedations for parcel shelf speakers? (money isn't really a problem :))
peace out! :slayer:

As far as the front speaker go, best option (which I didn't do incidentally) would be to build custom door pods and go with component speakers ... heck, you said money no object ;)

The option I went for was 4" Boss 2-way speakers, which I had to cut 2 of the mounting holes off of. 125wRMS each and got them from e-bay for abour £30 delivered. As far as parcel shelf, I personally have Pioneer 6x9's which were easy to fit as the shelf is only made of compressed fibre but lack punch. Best option I would think would be to avoid using the shelf for anything with any power as it'll be too heavy and will just collapse, unless you're feeling adventurous and want to fabricate a more sturdy shelf... and just build a box (y)

Yes 4" in the front but there are some better speakers out there.
Eklipse3k i very much doubt that your speakers up front are 120w RMS for £30 are you sure that isnt the Max power figure.

Right as for my recomendations i would say scrap the idea of speakers in the rear and spend your money on something like this

Easy to install you just need to check that they will actually mont in the Original front spaces, give them a good mount possibly MDF and deaden the area inside where they sit.

Get a 4 channel amp amp them up and get yourself a little sub aswell.

Awsum, cheers for the advice! I've had a look round for 4" ones & I think I might go with the ones on the link you shown me (y)

what do you mean by deaden them? as in fill the space around the speakers or something?

If you don't think the 6x9's are worth it got any sub suggestions too? :p

Thanks you two! legends! :worship::spin:

That'll be quite hard in the Seicento, you might be able to apply some Dynamat to the rear of the dash to stiffen things up a little.

Ok ill take your word for it i have never seen the speakers in the dash so if anybody fancies putting a few piccies up that would be much appreciated.

Paul is there any way that you could build a decent baffle out of ply board or something then just cover in material or even build a set of pods to help it along.

Also do you know if the DLS fit the dash :worship:

You'd have to cut two of the lugs of the fit the original Sei mounting, but can't see why not after that.

No way could you build a baffle, if someone gets pics up you'll see why - the dash is contoured for starters!

Thats what i thought but it would be good to come up with something that works that everybody can do.

It looks like i have convinced half the forum to go DLS :slayer: completely by accident though, they just seem to do very good reasonably priced stuff for pretty much every application.

Has any body tried mounting speakers from behind in an Sei? Loads of depth in there for larger speakers, just the dodgy curved opening that sucks (n)
