Hi all - I posted a thread about this some tima ago and now can't find it to update it - basically through some accidental button presses when cleaning the stereo I managed to put it into "Sud American Mode" - this flashed up briefly on the display and suddenly I had no Long Wave, and 2 Medium Wave bands and the tuning steps were wrong for Europe with the result that you couldn't "land" properly on any stations on AM (i'e' 909 would only stop at 910 etc.) Oh, and regional mode had gone on FM too...

No-one was able to offer any advice on how I had achieved this, but the good news is that today I managed to reverse the situation and chanced my arm by doing it again to prove it...

So to switch between "Europe" mode (LW/MW/9kHz steps/Regional mode)
and "Sud American" mode (as above), swicth on the ignition so radio comes on and hold in FM + Preset 1 - you have a few seconds to repeatedly swap between the two modes with a message on the display, then it stops working.
Just switch off ignition and try again if you didn't leave it in the right mode.

This wipes your radio presets but that's hardly a great problem.
