My friend has a mk2 punto and has just brought a single DIN 7 inch touchscreen dvd he has it all connected up and working fine but cannot get the touchscreen in the slot. It goes about half way in and wont go any further he has tried with the cage part on and without it on and still no luck. :bang:

Could it be due to their being so many wires behind the headunit?

Help needed ...

Its the biggest headache in the world. What I did with mine was whatever wires i didn't need, I cabled tided in a few bundles. This then makes it easier to get them in. In the GP there is a nice little bit to slot them down, but very awkward.....(12" needle nose pliers up behind the steering wheel and grab the wires. Not sure about mk2 though)

classic.. i tried it, worked for me

I had the same problem in the mark2 there is a bit hole u can push them down. In the top din slot push the wires towards the glove box an they fall down a hole then will push in no problems
