hi everyone. just bought sum 8cm JBL speakers for my 1995 punto sx, cant get them to fit. The magnet appears considerably bigger that the old ones, so wont fit. any ideas?? even took it to a garage and they aint a clue without cutting my dash.

Hiya mate, i got the same speakers as you and the only way to fit IS to cut the dash B)

There again im using it as an excuse to spray the dash [8D]

fitted the same speakers to my punto... and agree with the above, though the driver's side speaker fits easier than the passenger side... to do with where the fixings and connectors are... need to do more modification to the dash so that i can get the covers to sit flush, at the moment they are both slightly raised on one edge but ah well i think it is only me who actually notices that... good speakers though

lol..i have the exact same speakers, and the exact same problems..my plan is to just get a dremmel and kinda bowl the vottom of the housing so that the speaker cover will sit slightly more flush..if nt, im gunna try sum beading between the cover and the dash...
