Some people think putting alloys on their car is a waste as there are some perfectly good, round wheels on there anyway, if people want to put lots of speakers their car, its just to try and make it unique and good look to them!

the centos do need rear fill especially if u only have 4" speakers in the front

I never said people should do what I think, I was just questioning the point of having so many speakers, surely that puts the sound stage all over the place and makes it hard to get an optimum sound position. You used wheels as an example, if four wheels does the trick then why the need to fit 16

I know exactly what you mean, i agree with you with the speakers thing, some good comps in the front and possibly some decent 4" in the back + sub & amp is what id recommend too

Just i got the wrong end of the stick from your post :I, thought id stick up for the idea of being different ie in this case 16 speakers...

I would say if it makes you happy then so be it but lets not get away from the thread in question and try to guide Brian to having a tidy ICE setup to go with his tidy Cinq.

I've purchased my amp now anyways, and my sub is on order, can't wait to get it installed but thats a little way in teh future at the moment.

As for quality over quantity, this stereo set up is worth over £2k and is crystal clear, hence me entering it into sound comps... i know it might be ott for most people, but at the end of the day if everyone did/had the same ideas/things, the world would be such a boring place. I dont understand why people want to pick and niggle over things, each to their own i suppose... take care everyone!!

cool, didnt realise you was into minis, lol its better that i keep quiet about the sound system in mine. It was bigger and better than my cinqy, removed both parts of the rear seat and built a huge box to fill the rear, which housed 4 12" subs. rubish quality speakers in it though unlike my fiat, think they were all SPLX if i can remember, but it didnt half push the air... Ended up crackin my rear window

Ok I've now received my wiring kit for my second amp and I not have two kits exactly the same, one for each amp. Luckly they are both 600W amps so I bought 720W Kiring kits and some correct rated fuses, as stated by Kenwood in their instructions.

I believe Parcel Force tried to delivery my Amp yesterday but I was out so I am going to pick that up from the Depo tomorrow.

I'll post pictures of my Amp as soon as it arrives, and do the same when the sub gets here.

Also instead of using the standard plastic connectors that are supplied with the wiring kit I've decided to replace them with these Shark connectors that I got from Maplins.

Kenwood also stated in my first Amps instructions that 50amp fuses should be used, and as the wiring kits I bought are 720W which came with 60amp fuses, I bought a pack of 5 x 50amp fuses.

Ok I went to pick up my parcel this morning, to find that it was my amp YAY .

However it was not the amp I bought from Ebay, it was exactly the same as the amp I already have NOT YAY! ! ! It ISN'T the amp I bidded on and paid for, and have sent the chap an email explaining this and asking if he has indeed sent the wrong amp or if infact he has advertised it completly wrongly.

So I am waiting for him to get back to me at the moment to sort out this mess.

No I've not heard word from him [V]

My dad's read the ebay policy thow ans it looks like I might be able to get my money back minus £15 which goes towards the cost of recovring my money.

So things aren't totally lost.

I'm going to leave it until tomorrow night, as the chap might only have email at work. Which means he should be at work tomorrow and be able to reply to my email.

I hope he's just made a mistake and sent me the wrong amp.

ok good news from the Ebay fella he says he's going to send me a cheque for the full amount I paid for it, plus the cost of sending the amp back to him. he's going to do this and once the cheque has cleared in my account, then I will send him the amp back.

Sounds good to me, so hopefully fingers crossed it should all work out in the end.

Ok I've now got my sub and I'm LOVIN' IT , ok it might still be in its box at the moment but its gonna be good I know it.

Oh and the ebay fella says I need to send him back the amp before he is going to send me any money, so I'm not really sure what to do, as if I send the amp off I won't have the amp or the money, which doesn't really sound very good to me.
