I finally fitted my sub and amp into my seicento, although I haven't tested it fully yet, it sounds very promising:D:D:D, just need to fit the rest of the speakers now.

What I wanted to know is where I have connected the sub to on the amp, there are various settings, and I just want to know what they mean and what they should be set at:

Bass Eq - I set this to on

HP,LP,OFF - I set this to LP

Gain - Set this to about half way

Another one that says 30-360 - I set this to half way

What do u think is it right[?][?][?]

Thanks

Hi mate

I have my bass Eq-Off in my opinion this makes it sound better!
Lp is good if i can remember it gives the sub more bass and less to the other speakers.#
Gain have about 30% for the first week then slowely up the percentage week by week give the sub time to warm up and in! they say after 20hrs of hard bass the sub is warn in sufficientally to be turned up fully!
the 30-360 i really cant remember what mine is set 2 i will go and chech 2moro morning when it is lights!

cheers

Set as mentioned above.
The 30-360 is the frequency at which the bass works.
It affects how low the bass notes drop and how quickly the sub can react to changing bass tones.
Listen to a few of your favourite tracks and have a play with it. Just see what you like the sound of. There are ideal positions for things like spl cars ect, but, really it's best to set it up how you like it.

Well i have the gain on my Amp running @ 100% and i still ain't happy dn't I think its making enough bass [:(!] I only say this as my m8's Budget sub amp package is thumping and i ain't sure where the weak link is in my setup i.e. the amp or the Headunit. So atm im tempted 2 go buy a 900W beast to make the sub shift.

FIAT CinqueCento = Recycled Ferrari :D

It all depends on the other speakers in your car too.
What is the amp you have bought? (i.e. power/chanels)
What is it powering?
What head unit do you have?
Is the sub boxed?

From what I can see above, it looks as though it is powering a sub only.
HP, LP and FULL are your built in crossover filters. Basically what this will do is (depending on what you have set it to) allow Low, High or all frequencies to be amplified. Your bass sounds are low frequencies.

If your amp is only a small amp powering one sub,you wont really get much of a bass thump coming thru. I went for budget and got a pretty loud sound coming thru. I bought an 900watt XS Intimidator 4-channel amp (110watt RMS per channel) powering 2x 350watt 10" subs and 2x 315watt 6x9's. The amp cost £140, subs £20, 6x9's £10.
