at the moment i have crappy splx 12" subs but was wondering if i swapped these for better quality subs would i notice an improvement? using the same enclosures, amps etc. Also what sub makes are best, i was thinking of a pair of these;

but the current amp would only be able to provide 300w per sub, would this suffice for the above?

my wife has splx 12" in her punto and not had any prods. yes there are betters sub on the market just depends on much you are willing to spend

yes there wont be as much distortion and they'll be able to handle more volume....go for infinity if u really want a decent sub

another thing with subs is the enclosure has to be the right size for it.

the best sub in the world will sound crap in the wrong size enclosure
