Installing new sump
Wipe surface area one more time to ensure there is no oil or dirt on it
Apply a thick bead of gasket sealant on sump all the way around completely covering all bolt holes too, ( dont save it and be more generous on corners).
There are 2 methods of using gasket sealant, first one is to apply it on sump put it on and screw the bolts down to specified torque (10nm), the other one is to apply it on sump, screw bolts till gasket sealant appears, wait till it dries and then torque down bolts.
I used first method, but probably doesnt matter which one you use just that it doesnt leak.
Second method explained more in clip its not for punto but same principle.
While you are waiting for sealant to dry, you can put everything back together.
When everything dries go for a ride and check for leaks.
Dont forget to pour in oil afterwards
