Swap Out Rear Springs
Removing ( Refitting ) Rear Springs
- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Place a hydraulic lift under the rear crossmember by the spring.
2. Undo the bolt securing the shock absorber to the suspension crossmember.
3. Slowly lower the hydraulic lift until the spring is not compressed and remove it.
Do the same for the right spring.
Refitting New Springs
- Place a hydraulic lift under the rear crossmember by the spring seat.
- Place the spring in its housing.
- Raise the hydraulic lift slowly until the shock absorber lower mounting is in line with its housing in the crossmember and then secure it tightening the bolt to the recommended torque.
Bolt Is M12 Tightened To 11.7 ÷ 14.3 daNm
- Slowly lower the hydraulic lift until the spring is not compressed by the lift.
Do the same for the right spring.
