Tools you will need:

1. a long 3mm drill bit & drill.
2. 1 6-6.5mm drill bit
3. 1 caulking gun.
4. 1 tube of sika-flex or sticks like sh*t
5. 1 Mike Norton or a friend of similar height would be extremely advantagious! :D
6. 1 hole cutter or 20mm drill bit.
7. 1 can of panel wipe or thinners(if using thinners make sure you have a dry clean cloth to hand as you'll need to wipe away excess immediately!)

The spoiler now fitted to Mikes car is a Lester one.

WARNING! this job should only be taken on with 2 people.

Laying down the markers

Using the plastic guides/markers that should come with the spoiler, insert these into the bolt holes on the underside of the sploiler. Offer the spoiler up to the top of the tailgate & secure the plastic markers with tape, this is quite fiddley as the markers are quite a tight fit in the bolt holes which is why 2 people are needed!

Drilling the guide holes

Take the spoiler off & using a 3mm drill bit drill through the centre of the plastic markers to make a guide hole in the tailgate. Remove the plastic guides & fit either a 6mm or 6.5mm drill bit into your drill & open the guide holes. Drill as far as you can into the tailgate so that a hole appears inside the tailgate.

Fit the hole cutter or 20mm bit to your drill & open the holes out INSIDE the tailgate to enable the bolts to pass through.

Preparing the spoiler

Fit the tube of bonding sealant into the caulking gun. Rough the edges of the spoiler with some 80 grit sand paper in the place where you are to bond the spoiler to the tailgate & carefully go round it with the bonding sealant.

Attaching the spoiler

Place & align the spoiler onto the tailgate & secure with the bolts provided. Wipe any excess sealant which will seep out away with the panel wipe & leave( depending on which sealant you use) for between 3 -12 hours.
