If you decided to change themperature sensor, you don't need empty cooling system. But do it on cold engine only.

Undo the bolts fixing the air filter assembly and remove it.

Now you can change air filter. ;)
Remove the retaining band and disconnect the air inlet pipe to the butterfly casing.

Disconnect and dismount the battery.

Themperature sensor is in the center of picture. It has green-coloured connector.

Disconnect the engine ECU.

And remove it.

There are 4 special bolts at the butterfly casing.

You can undo them with usual 8 mm head.

Remove the ECU holder.

Disconnect the throttle body.
And now you can clean it. ;)

This is new themperature sensor. (Vernet WS2633)

This is old one.
If you remove it don't be afraid antifreeze leak.

Sensor has metal shim. Clean contact surfaces before the new sensor mounting.

That's all.
Connect the sensor. Connect the butterfly casing. Mount it and the ECU holder. Connect the pipe to the butterfly casing and secure it using the retaining band. Mount the ECU and connect it. Don't forget attach the ground contact with the nut. Connect all pipes and secure them.
Genuine retaining bands can be clipped with this tool.

Mount the air filter assembly. Connect the battery.
Start engine, warm it and check antifreeze leak.
