Grande Punto Red dot remap

Have you asked how many cars they can actually do in one day? i wouldnt think it was more than 4 or 5 max, if i can get my turbo fitted asap i will be up for it

Tom, let us know what you think of your remap when you've had it done. I've got 3 that need doing, a punto and a alfa 147 which are both 1.9 jtd 8v engines and a 08 plate bmw 320d.
Quite alot of companies do it now, angeltune, celtic, red dot, to name just a few, which one is best?. They all come out with a good sales spiel, but who gives the best results is what i'm trying to find.

I fancy getting my Mjet done but worried about the fuel. Does it affect it alot?

before map i used to get about 42-45mpg commuting on A roads.
Same route now get 49-53mpg after map.

been mapped about 2 years and has been faultless, general feeling is mapped cars run better for economy and performance.

mine wasnt mapped by reddot, but tony who works with Peter of GSR

As Mayatt said, before the map i used to average around 42-43 to a tank and around 50-53 on a long run.

After the map I average 63mpg on the way home and around town and short journeys the trip reads 46-48 and its driven hard 90% of the time.

Mine was done by Sanspeed tuning though.

im getting 40 around town, not had it on a run yet. seems to be more economical at 30 in 5th then it does in 6th.

sounds like it could be on the cards.

are they undetectable by say people like insurance companies? hypothetical question obviously?

cheers.

Not sure what technology insurance companies have or use to detect this sort of thing but one thing i know they will 100% be able to see is that the ecu has had a new file uploaded to it at somepoint, i.e when mapped. But i dont think they would be able to tell the difference between a map or a Fiat update for example.

Not worth the risk though for what it costs especially if you have a huge crash. As the money would then be coming out your pocket for third parties.

Might have to wait then. Already paying 1200 quid a year. 28 with 3 years no claims. Hmmm
